Appointed at Leicester 1978. Founding convenor of the Joint BISA/PSA Specialist Group on Diplomacy. Founding Director of the Centre for the Study of Diplomacy at Leicester, 1994-9. Co-Director of the Diplomatic Studies Program, 1994–96. Chairman of the UK Forum on Diplomatic Training, 1996–97. General Editor of the Palgrave Studies in Diplomacy Series, 1994–2003. Occasional Teacher, Department of International Relations, LSE, 2002–2003. College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities Masters Excellence Scholarships

The Masters Excellence Studentships are available to new UK/EU applicants registering for a full- or part-time, campus-based Masters degree in our College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities starting in the 2017-18 academic year. Four nine-month Masters Excellence studentships are available, each providing a full fee waiver. The deadline for applications is 9 June 2017.
