For Current Students
Attendance
Attendance at tutorials and seminars is compulsory. One of your obligations to the School is that you inform your tutors BEFOREHAND if you cannot attend a tutorial or class, if at all possible.
If you are unable to attend a tutorial or class you should complete a Notification of Absence Form to inform the School of this.
Further details about attendance and engagement requirements can be found in your student handbook.
This form is for all postgraduate research students who want to apply for annual leave. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email confirmation of the decision. Failure to follow this process will result in your annual leave being unauthorised.
Notification of Ill Health and other Mitigating Circumstances
The University recognises that students may suffer from a sudden illness or other serious event or set of circumstances which adversely affects their ability to complete an assessment or the results they obtain for an assessment. You must keep your department(s) informed at all times of any personal circumstances that may impact upon your ability to study or undertake assessments.
You will need to complete a Notification of Mitigating Circumstances form, and supply supporting documentation (e.g. a medical certificate) as soon as possible.
