Personal Statement:
I completed my undergraduate studies in neurosciences, pharmacology and experimental psychology at University Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg and my PhD on human muscle stem cells at University Medical Centre, Geneva. I moved to UK in 1995 and took up post-doctoral positions at University College London (with D. Attwell), GlaxoSmithkline (with M. Main and D. Trezise) and University of Leicester (with I. Forsythe). In 2005, I was awarded a RCUK Fellowship at University of Leicester and became a lecturer in 2010. I am Associate Professor of Neuroscience since 2016. My research combines electrophysiological, behavioural and morphological approaches, to study auditory and multisensory processing in the brain. Over the years, my laboratory has received support from the Wellcome Trust, the Royal Society, Action on Hearing Loss, British Tinnitus Association, the Medical Research Council, GlaxoSmithkline and Autifony Therapeutics Ltd.
