Post-Graduate Research

Leicester University currently offers two types of post-graduate degree in Neuroscience subjects.

An MRes in Neuroscience takes one year and consists of a full time research project with one of the PIs at Leicester. The experimental project takes between 6 and 9 months, at the end of which you would be required to write a thesis of between 10 and 30 thousand words.

A PhD normally lasts 3 years. If you are interested in studying for a PhD, you are strongly encouraged to contact a prospective PI in order to discuss your interest. They may also have information about funding.
