Research Area/Interests

Arab and African art - particularly the art and art markets in emerging market countries. I have spent a lot of time in Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates, working with artists, designers, film makers and writers. Though I have published academic papers, I have also interviewed and written about the art, artists and culture of the Middle East, for various art and culture magazines.
