Research interest/area

I am a second year full-time PhD student. My research is aimed at studying the phenomenon of museum space, its elements and functions.

Thesis title: The spatial evolution of the State Historical Museum (Moscow, Russia)

The phenomenon of museum space has been brought into focus several decades ago, and has since then been discussed by a number of museologists, architects, scholars, such as MacLeod, Giebelhausen, Wright, Yanni, and others. Nevertheless, there still is a lot of work to be done in the field, for instance, deepening our understanding of what museum space is and can be and examining more museums from different countries with unique backgrounds. I am researching the spatial changes that took place at the State Historical Museum (Moscow, Russia) during several periods of time.
