Swipe Cards and Building Access

Swipe/ID cards are needed for access into the Henry Wellcome Building (HWB), the Maurice Shock Building (MSB) and throughout the corridors of the HWB.  Your swipe card acts as your University ID badge and also allows you to access University printers.  Please see the University’s terms and conditions on use of swipe cards:

How do I get a swipe/ID card?

New members of staff will be issued with an application form for a swipe/ID card during their induction and will need to visit the Security Office (on main campus) to collect their swipe card.

Applications for new swipe cards may be issued by the Departmental Administrator, Brankica Besevic bb100@le.ac.uk, the Technical Services Manager, Jon Tillotson-Roberts, jar20@le.ac.uk, or the Departmental Manager, Karen Monger, km13@le.ac.uk

In the case of problems with existing swipe cards, please contact Brankica Besevic, ext. 7037.

If you lose your swipe card, or it is stolen, please report this immediately to the Security Control Room (Tel: 0116 252 2023), so that your card can be deactivated.
