Biography

I am a teaching fellow in French. I joined the University of Leicester in 1995, and have been involved with the development of language modules since. I have also trained with the Centre de Langue Française de Paris - Ile de France, and developed a module taught through Languages at Leicester, offering the Diplôme de Français Professionnel. At Leicester, I am also the Career Officer for the School of Modern Languages.

Qualifications

  • Licence LVE equivalent (Spanish and English)
  • MA, Applied Linguistics and TESOL
  • CELTA
  • Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy

I have also previously developed and taught 'French for Medics'.

I am interested in and have researched, namely as part of my MA, students’ engagement with Feedback and have worked on Feedforward. Furthermore, as part of my role as a Career Officer, I am interested in offering vocational French to students in order to further their development of language proficiency in the working world.
