Modern Languages at Leicester rated 8th in the Country

Modern Languages at Leicester is now ranked 8th nationally, in the latest Guardian University League Table (2017).

This is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the hard work done over recent years by all teaching staff and professional services colleagues to ensure students get excellent tuition and an outstanding experience in Modern Languages at Leicester.

In its annual survey of UK universities the Guardian newspaper's University Guide 2017 has rated Modern Languages at the University of Leicester as 8th in the country. The survey examined all three language areas offered at Leicester (French, Italian and Spanish studies) and encompasses such diverse factors as staff: student ratios, student satisfaction and graduate employability. This excellent news is yet another example of how the degree programmes within the School of Modern Languages offer our students an outstanding learning experience. The result follows other successes in recent years including the University of Leicester being the only university to have won Times Higher Awards in seven consecutive years and nomination as Times Higher University of the Year in 2008/09.
