Presenting at the International Conference on Pharmacoepidemiology

Dixa Thrakar presenting her poster in Boston

Dixa's posters included:

  1. Prevalence and characteristics of non-small cell lung cancer patients harbouring oncogenic drivers
  2. Extent of publication bias in observational studies investigating adverse drug events.

Both posters were well receive by clinical oncologists, academic professionals, members of regulatory bodies including the Food and Drug Administration, and pharmaceutical representatives.

Dixa was also second author on a poster entitled "Taxane use in the first-Line setting and prior comorbidities among female metastatic triple-negative breast cancer patients"

With 1500 conference members, the opportunity to network and meet people in fields with similar interests gave a valuable insight into the world of research. Dixa now has potential avenues on how to further her research and make it clinically relevant at individual patient levels.
