Medical Students Win Public Speaking Prize

Two of our medical students represented Leicester at the RCPsych Trent Division Meeting on 16 November 2016 and beat teams from Nottingham & Sheffield medical schools to win a Public Speaking Prize.

Two of our medical students, Amy Legister & Katie Brown represented Leicester at the RCPsych Trent Division Meeting on 16 November 2016 and beat teams from Nottingham & Sheffield medical schools to win a Public Speaking Prize.

Each team had to speak for ten minutes on the topic, ‘Homicides, Suicides, Mental Illness & the Media’ without the use of visual aids or questions from the audience. A panel of three judges contributed 50% of the votes; the remaining 50% came from the audience.
