Internal Courses & Seminars

For phase 2 of the current curriculum the following examiner courses are run:

Examiner training : face to face training

Attendance is a requirement of becoming an examiner in the OSCE examinations for the Intermediate Professional Examination (4th year) and the Final Professional Examination (5th year). A number of dates are provided in January each year across the 3 hospital sites. If you volunteer to examine you will be sent a list of dates and asked to attend.

For queries about face to face examiner training, please email Dr Jonny Acheson (Lead for Clinical Assessments): ja202@leicester.ac.uk

Question writing workshops

A number of question writing workshops are held annually to teach the basics of writing single best answer questions and short answer questions. Bespoke workshops can also be run for a department if there are 6 or more interested participants.

For queries about question writing workshops, please contact Dr Andrea Akkad (Lead for Obstetrics and Gynaecology) or Dr Rachel Westacott: aa38@leicester.ac.uk or rjw25@le.ac.uk
