Simon Leader

Simon Leader has been an Associate Tutor on the MA (DL) since 1995.  He has a BA Hons from Nottingham Trent University (1991), and an MA in Mass Communications from CMCR (1992), for which he wrote a thesis on Channel Four’s commitment to ethnic minority broadcasting. 

Simon has worked at CMCR as a Teaching Assistant for the Centre's BSc programme (1992-94) and as a Research Assistant on a variety of the CMCR's research projects including Children and Television (1992) with Olga Linné, Drugs and the Media (1995) and Science and the Media (1995) with Anders Hansen, and Television and Food Choice (1995-8) with Roger Dickinson.

In 1999 he was awarded the Stanley Burton Scholarship from the Centre for Holocaust Studies at the University of Leicester where, in 2003, he completed his PhD on the Holocaust and the British Regional Press 1939-1945.  He is currently teaching communications at the American College of Greece, in Athens.
