Margarita Kondopoulou

Margarita Kondopoulou has a BA in English Literature from the American College of Greece (Deree) and an MA in Mass Communications from CMCR, University of Leicester. Currently she is reading a PhD at the Centre on a Comparative Analysis of the Greek and British Press Coverage of the Kosovo Crisis. 

Margarita teaches News Culture, Journalism and Media Ethics at the American College of Greece (Deree). She is also a tutor at the Deree Writing Centre. She has worked as a part-time Research Assistant on projects such as the Internet and Women’s NGOs, as well as Television and the use of Nature Images. In the period 1998-2001, Margarita was a Teaching Assistant at the CMCR, working with undergraduate students on a variety of courses. 

She has published articles on the Kosovo Crisis reporting in the Greek and British newspapers. In October 2002, she was appointed by the University of Konstanz (Germany) as a Research Associate contributing to a project on the European media coverage of the post-Milosevic era in Serbia. Margarita has also worked as a journalist for several years in Greek radio stations and magazines.
