Bianca Reisdorf

Bianca Reisdorf is a Lecturer in the Department of Media and Communication at the University of Leicester. Previously she worked as a part-time lecturer at the University of Cincinnati, where she is still teaching online classes and supporting students through distance learning. Bianca was awarded a DPhil in Information, Communication, and the Social Sciences from the University of Oxford in 2012. She also holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from Bielefeld University (2008). Bianca’s research focusses mainly on new media, and especially on digital inequalities in Europe with a focus on vulnerable groups and people who are of working age. In her studies she applies both quantitative and qualitative methods and she is especially interested in comparative cross-national research. Currently, Bianca is working on projects about Internet in rural areas as well as Internet in prisons.
