Abstract Ignacio Lopez Franco

Title: On commutativity.

Abstract: (joint work with R. Garner) In this talk we argue that duoidal
categories, categories equipped with two compatible monoidal structures
that generalise braided categories, are a good environment in which
express a general notion of commutativity. We illustrate this notion by
exibiting the examples commutativity of Lawvere theories, strong monads,
as well as the usual notion for monoids. If time permits, we may
discuss more abstract aspcts of the theory.
