One World Week event for adult learners

Children's activity

Our Widening Participation Team will be hosting activity sessions which will include craft activities for your children as well as providing space for you to meet mature learners from across the University.

The sessions will be themed around the Chinese New Year and will be a chance for you to meet other students juggling family commitments with education. There will also be an opportunity for you to feedback to us about the support and guidance on offer to you.

Current and prospective adult learners and Access to HE students are welcome to attend, along with their children and partners.

Event Details

These free activity sessions will take place on Thursday 18 February 2016. There will be two sessions:

  • 9.30am-11.30am
  • 1.00pm-3.00pm

Both sessions will be held in the Training Room, Students’ Union, Percy Gee Building, University of Leicester.

Pay and display parking is available on University Road and Granville Car Park by De Montfort Hall. Please see our campus map for parking information and directions.

The activities will be suitable for children aged 2-12 years old. Children should not be left unattended, a parent/guardian must be present at all times.

The Future of the Vaughan Centre for Lifelong Learning

The Vaughan Centre for Lifelong Learning at the University of Leicester will close its doors in 2020. Staff at the Centre will continue to support existing students through the remainder of their studies.
