Commercial and Corporate Law

Drawing from the fields of law, economics and political science, this group provides an international forum for the exchange of ideas on issues of law and public policy with respect to the regulation of financial markets and institutions, and commercial law at the national, EU and international levels.

Human Rights

The approach of this group is primarily legal, spanning across national, European, international and comparative human rights, it also shares an interest in human rights theory. Themes include terrorism, poverty, labour rights, social rights, constitutionalisation, globalisation, and the role of NGOs.

Labour Law

The interests of this group embrace a wide range of issues within and relating to labour law, for example, citizenship, social security, migration.

International Law

A broad range of research interests covering the use of force and international humanitarian law, questions exterritorial measures and jurisdiction, international economic law and international investment law, the constitutionalisation of international law, the relationship between specialized areas of international law, in particular international and EU law, and feminist perspectives of international law.

Conflicts of Law

The objective of the Conflict of Laws Scholars Forum is to bring together researchers in the School of Law at the University of Leicester and external speakers to discuss work in progress, published papers and developments of current interest either on the conflict of laws/private international law or a related subject, to a general audience.
