Postdoctoral Scholarships available for study at the Centre for European Law and Internationalisation

The Centre for European Law and Internationalisation (CELI) accepts expressions of interest from applicants to the Commonwealth Rutherford Fellowships.

The UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) )through the Rutherford Fund offers 50 scholarships to researchers from other Commonwealth countries to spend 2 years in a UK university or research center. The goal is to support their research as well as to enhance the creation of research networks with other Commonwealth countries.

In brief, the programme will include

  1. Fellowships lasting 1–2 years
  2. Funding (including travel, research support of £2.5k, a monthly stipend of £1,627 and a £1k travel grant this conflicts with the first part so maybe it should be eft as airfare)

More information is available at Commonwealth Scholarships.

Proposals need to be innovative, contemporary, lead to long-term impact, and foster closer collaboration between the UK and a Commonwealth country. The proposals will be judged on personal and academic background, quality, and impact potential.

The applicants will need a letter of support from the host organisation. The CELI contact is its Director, Professor Katja Ziegler. If you would like to discuss an application hosted by CELI, contact us with your proposal at katja.ziegler@le.ac.uk no later than Friday, 24 November 2017.
