CELI accepting expressions of interest!

CELI accepting expressions of interest to the UK Research and Innovation Future Leaders Fellowships (FLF).

The second round of the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowships scheme is now accepting applications, and the Centre for European Law and Internationalisation welcomes applications in any relevant field.

What is the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship?

This scheme aims at supporting early career researchers and innovators with outstanding potential in universities. It welcomes applications from both UK and international applicants and individuals should use the person specification to assess and justify their suitability for the scheme. More information about conditions and how to apply is available at https://www.ukri.org/funding/funding-opportunities/future-leaders-fellowships/

The objectives of the scheme are:

  • to develop, retain, attract and sustain research and innovation talent in the UK
  • to foster new research and innovation career paths including those at the academic/business and interdisciplinary boundaries, and facilitate movement of people between sectors
  • to provide sustained funding and resources for the best early career researchers and innovators
  • to provide long-term, flexible funding to tackle difficult and novel challenges, and support adventurous, ambitious programmes.
How to apply

The support of the host institution is a critical part of the fellowship. For this reason, we encourage those interested in applying to contact Prof Katja Ziegler at katja.ziegler@le.ac.uk to discuss their applications. The next step will be to draft a proposal which will be subject to a selection process by the university.

The deadline for applications is 4 October 2018, but those interested will need to have a final version of their proposals sent to CELI no later than 3 September 2018. That will give us enough time to review it and provide feedback before the internal deadline (10 September 2018).
