I joined the School of law as a lecturer in September 2014. Before this and since 2008, I worked as a university tutor whilst working on my PhD. I was awarded the University of Leicester anniversary acholarship in 2008 and the Doctoral Prize by the College of Arts, Humanities and Law (University of Leicester) in 2013.

I completed my law degree at the University of Malaga (Spain). I was recently awarded a British Academy Small Research Grant on Ofgem's new trend on enforcement and consumer interests.

I was awarded a Teaching Development fund grant in December 2016 for the project 'Group work assignment in Law: Equipping learners for work?'

Teaching

My teaching covers the areas of Human Rights, European Union Law, Introduction to Law and Legal Reasoning and the Law of Torts.

Research

I am interested in Jurisdiction and Liability under the European Convention of Contracting Parties Participating in Military Operations Abroad.

I am also interested in Developing Legal Literacy outside the setting of the University and I am involved in projects with the Higher Education Academy.
