Biography

I completed my PhD on the cross-border mobility of companies within the EU (2001).

Later, I published a monograph on international transfers of personal data (2003) and explored the topic further publishing a book on international business on personal data (2010).

Originally from Spain, I was associate professor of Private International Law at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos from 2009-2013.

I have been a member of a number of research projects on contractual obligations, non-contractual obligations and international aspects of company Law.

I was a research Fellow at the Real Colegio Complutense at Harvard University in 2003, 2004 and 2006.

I joined the University of Leicester in September 2013.
