PhD (University of Geneva); LLM in International Business Law (Queen Mary, University of London); JD (University of Siena); Diploma in Legal Studies (University of Oxford, St. John’s College)

Blerina joined Leicester Law School in April 2020. Previously, she worked at the Private International Law Department of the University of Geneva as a Research Assistant and taught law as a Guest Lecturer.  She was a Researcher at CIDS/MIDS (Geneva) during the preparation of the first report on ISDS reform, and has practiced international dispute resolution in law firms in the UK and Switzerland. She is Ambassador for Arbitrator Intelligence in the CEE region, and Sounding Board Member of the Hague Rules on Business and Human Rights Arbitration.

Research Interests

Blerina is currently working on a multidisciplinary research project which addresses social and psychological aspects of commercial arbitration practice in Europe. She is also interested in comparative law, social network analysis, ISDS reform, multilateralism, and EU external relations law.
