Lord Neuberger Presidential Address at the University of Leicester, 3 March 2017

Lord Neuberger, President of the Supreme Court, will be delivering his address as President of the University of Leicester Law Society. He will speak on a range of topics and take questions from the audience. Lord Neuberger will also judge our Senior Mooting competition during his stay.

Lord Neuberger, President of the Supreme Court

The address will take place on Friday 3 March at 12pm in the Peter Williams Lecture Theatre. The event is free and open to the public.

Lord Neuberger of Abbotsbury is the President of the Supreme Court. He has decided many of the most important cases of the last decade, including the recent high-profile judgment in Miller on Article 50 and the requirement of Parliamentary authority in order to leave the European Union

Leicester Law School students can win lunch with the Supreme Court President by posing Lord Neuberger a question using the hashtag #LULSpresident.

The chairperson of the Law Society Scarlett Stock has commented “It is a huge honour for the society to be able to host our President and President of the Supreme Court Lord Neuberger and we are all immensely excited.”

As part of his visit Lord Neuberger will judge our Senior Moot competition alongside prominent alumnus and High Court judge Sir Nicholas Green.
