Leicester Law School research student presents at the 2017 SLSA conference

Research student Ruksar Sattar presented her work on child welfare and work-family life balance.

Ruksar Sattar presented her paper and a poster (and was very well received) at the SLSA Conference at the Newcastle University (5–7 April, 2017). Her research, 'Putting the Welfare of the Child at the Heart of the Reconciliation of Work and Family Life Principle: a Role for Grandparents?', explores two important principles: whether the legislation designed to facilitate work/family measures really takes into account the best interest of the children and whether grandparents have a role to play in order to achieve this.

Ruksar is a Midlands3Cities Doctoral Candidate and is supervised by Eugenia Caracciolo Di Torella and Pascale Lorber.
