Leicester Law School acting to widen access to legal profession

The Law School has been selected to participate in the Sutton Trust’s Pathways to Law programme, providing support for academically able pupils from non-privileged homes to enter legal education and the legal profession.

This recognises the success of Leicester Law School at widening participation and the excellence of what we offer to students. The programme will be a partnership between staff and students at the Law School, supported by the University’s Widening Participation team. Law School Students will play a central role in the range of activities, which will include workshops, taster sessions and e-mentoring.

The Sutton Trust programme is funded by the Legal Education Foundation, leading law firms and the partner universities.

Recruitment of pupils will begin in August 2016.
