Law success at Leicester Student Awards

Staff and students won a number of categories at the inaugural University of Leicester Student Awards.

The University of Leicester Student Awards is a collaborative event run by the Career Development Service and the Students' Union to celebrate the achievements of the current academic year. The night began with a key note speech from Jane Esuantsiwa Goldsmith, who was the first black female President of the University of Leicester Students' Union.

Student awards

  • Best Course Representative, Study Abroad - Charles du Couëdic de Kerérant (Law Maitrise LLB)
  • Student of the Year - Michaela Dowe-Stephenson (Law LLB)
  • Volunteer of the Year (Frank May Cup) - David Roberts (Law Senior Status LLB)
  • Student groups Enterprising Society of the Year - Pro Bono (Law)

Staff awards

Members of staff nominated by students for outstanding academic support.

  • Superstar for Student Support - Beth Astington (Law)
