Expert Study Group on African International Criminal Justice

Dr Eki Omorogbe joins group tracking developments in International Criminal Justice in Africa

In September 2016, Dr Eki Omorogbe participated in the 5th annual workshop of the Expert Study Group on International Criminal Justice, held in Arusha, Tanzania. The Expert Group is made up of law academics and practitioners and brought together by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Rule of Law Programme in Sub Saharan Africa. The workshop was held to discuss developments in International Criminal Justice in Africa and to review a series of articles written by participants for publication by KAS. The next publication will be available at end-January 2017 in print and on the KAS website.

As part of the KAS event, the group visited the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights. Dr Omorogbe was among the members of the group who then met with the newly elected President of the Court, Justice Sylvian Oré.
