Dawn Watkins gave a well-received presentation on using narrative in law teaching.

Steve Evans and the other Law Teacher of the Year finalists gave a presentation on his approach to teaching. Whilst Steve did not win, the judges praised all six finalists on their commitment, dedication, passion, enthusiasm, and innovation.

The judging process started in January 2016 with nominations from eligible law schools across the UK. After a tough shortlisting process, each of the six finalists were visited by members of the judging panel, who conducted interviews with students and colleagues, and observed a typical teaching session.

The Celebrating Excellence in Law Teaching was organised to showcase the exceptional law teaching taking place in law schools today.

Professor Lisa Webley of the University of Westminster was the 2016 winner.

Steve currently teaches on Equity and Trusts, Inheritance Law and Land Law. Steve also regularly gives taster lectures to Leicester Law School open days.
