Leicester Law School will celebrate International Women's Day 2021 with a number of events including the effects of Brexit and COVID-19 on equality.

‘Women and Brexit’, Tuesday 9 March at 1:00pm
Professor Adam Cygan, Oxana Golynker and Pascale Lorber will consider how Brexit is affecting Women, in particular the impact of the exit of the EU on advancing gender equality.

'Has COVID-19 reversed decades of gender equality?’, Wednesday 10 March at 3.15pm
Eugenia Caracciolo di Torella and Troy Lavers will look at the trends of women and unpaid work during the pandemic, examining recent studies, potential research and recommendations to address gender inequality.

Leicester University Law Society will interview Professor Sally Kyd, our first female Head of School, on Wednesday 10 March at 6:00pm and the Pro Bono society will present a video about ‘What it means to be a woman in the legal profession’.

Later in the month, we will host a Welcome Lunch on the Gender Pay Gap on 22 March at 1:00pm. The University Associate Director of EDI and Organisational Development, will attend to answer questions.
