Conflict of Laws Scholars Forum - Spring/Summer Term 2013

As part of the Conflict of Laws Scholars Forum, a number of events are scheduled to take place during the Spring Term 2013. These events are for academics and practitioners with an interest in the conflict of laws/private international law.

The Proposal for a Common European Sales Law: The Policy Implications - 22 March 2013

On 22 March 2013, the second in a series of two research roundtables on the Proposal for a Common European Sales Law (CESL) will take place with presentations focussed on policy implications from representatives of the European Parliament, the UK Justice Department, UK Trading Standards and the Law Commission of England and Wales.

All welcome, free of charge.

Cross-Border Family Law Focus Event – 13 May 2013

On 13 May 2013, a half day "Family Law Focus Event" will take place with papers from Professor Paul Beaumont (Aberdeen), Professor Trevor Buck (DMU), Professor Chris Clarkson, Dr Dawn Watkins and Dr Eugenia Caraciollo di Torella (all Leicester), Dr Aude Fiorini (Dundee) and Dr Helen Stalford (Liverpool).
