Centre for Interdisciplinary Science Shortlisted for a Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence

We are pleased to announce that the Centre for Interdisciplinary Science has been revealed as one of the finalists for the Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence from the Higher Educational Academy.

So far the team comprising of Dr Sarah Gretton, Dr Cheryl Hurkett, Dr Dylan Williams and Professor Derek Raine has been successful in getting through two stages of the application process.

The CATE award is piloted as ‘an important development which reflects the key role that teamwork has in promoting student success through teaching and learning’ and was open to all higher education providers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland..

Initially being longlisted as one of 37 teams, the Centre for Interdisciplinary Science team is in with a chance of winning one of six grants for £15,000 to disseminate their learning as one of 15 remaining finalists.

Winners to be announced in late January 2017.
