Prizes

Information about BSc/MComp prize winners.

The department offers a number of prizes for outstanding performance in the BSc and MComp programmes, for each year of the programmes. Prize winners are determined at the end of each academic year. A prize comes with a certificate and a cash award, and a prize may be jointly awarded to one or more students.

2016/17

Year 1

Computer Science 1st Year Prize (Best first year average on BSc Computing or Computing with Management) - £100 - Molly Pomroy.

British Computer Society Prize (Best student in first year on BSc or MComp Computer Science) - £100 and 1 year's free membership to BCS - Permission awaited from prize winner.

Year 2

Computer Science 2nd Year Prize (Best second year average on BSc Computing or Computing with Management) - £100 - Alastair Hooper.

Computer Science Departmental Prize (Best second year BSc Computer Science student) - £100 - Zanis Ogorodnikovs.

College Prize (Best 2nd year undergraduate) - £100 - Permission awaited from prize winner.

Computer Science 2nd Year Project Prize (Best software engineering group project) - Raspberry Pi for each student - Lewis Birks, Joel Mahon, Jiazhen Mo, Khoa Phan, permission awaited from additional prize winners.

Final Year

Computer Science 3rd Year Prize (Best third year average on BSc Computing or Computing with Management) - £150 - Joseph Bridges.

May Computer Prize (Best final year performance by a BSc or MComp student) - £75 - Elliot Murray, permission awaited from additional prize winner.

Best Final Year Prize (Best overall performance in BSc Computer Science) - £150 - Elliot Murray.

Best Project Prize (Best final year project in BSc or MComp Computer Science) - £100 - Elliot Murray.

Best Final Year Computing Project Prize (Best final year project in BSc Computing) - £100 - Joseph Bridges.

Best Final Year Computing with Management Project Prize (Best final year project in BSc Computing with Management) - £100 - Blaize Thomas, Kolawole Odediran (Shared).
