What We Do at Computer Science at Leicester: Simple Algorithms and a Demonstration

Delivered two Lead Student Ambassadors:  Amo Adams and Olubusayo Taylor, supported by  Dr. Ruzanna Chitchyan

Talk 1: Simple algorithms and how useful they can be in everyday life.

 a 1st year student will look at a number of simple algorithms, demonstrate their use in day-to-day life. The perspective of a 1st year undergraduate at the University of Leicester.

Talk 2: Demonstration of an ecommerce system. 

The 3rd year student will demonstrate her final year project and discuss the technologies used for it.

  • Approximate length: 50 minutes
  • Equipment required: overhead projector
  • Target audience:  for students at Year 10
