AIP3S - Architecture for integration of projects for prediction of protein structures

Service-oriented architectures are recognized for their great integration capability and mobility among different platforms. The loose coupling between components modules of these architectures are also a favorable point multidisciplinary technology. Volatility and agility are key features in web systems for a constant innovation of equipment and services. In the field of protein structures prediction, the methods are various, the competition is high and the need for integration is ready . The research groups spread throughout the world miss a closer communication and active collaboration that can accelerate the process of finding these structures. This doctoral  project proposes the development of a SOA architecture as a integration platform for projects of protein structures prediction, where progress can be shared and research methodology standardized to a more comprehensive understanding of the research in the world and the dissemination of the field in pursuit of attracting more scientists. Preliminary experiments shown some of the shortcomings of the mechanisms available today as well as an initial picture of the technical needs that should be developed. The results of these tests guide the development of AIP3S.
