A two day CPD course to be held at the University of Leicester on the 6 & 7 November. This course will explore the conservation, management, and development of rural sites. It will also include a field trip to visit current projects and recent building work.

The University of Leicester and Historic England are delighted to bring you a two day CPD course on the conservation and management of rural buildings. This course is for historic environment managers and professionals encountering historic rural buildings as part of consultancy work and decision-making. Attendees will learn about:

  • considering the setting of rural buildings
  • planning and land management
  • Neighbourhood Plans and the contribution of historic character
  • issues to consider during the conversion and maintenance of buildings
  • a practical workshop on the assessment of farmsteads

Price

Prices start from £225 for the course place only (including lunches, field trip, and course materials).

We are delighted to be able to offer the first 8 places on the course at our Early Bird Discount price of £275 including an evening meal with the group and bed & breakfast accommodation at our College Court Conference Centre on the night of the 6 November. Once the first 8 places have been sold the price will revert to the standard price of £375.
