  • IODP Expedition 357, Atlantis Massif Serpentinization & Life, RRS James Cook, 26 October to 11 December 2015: Petrophysics Staff Scientist.  A major goal of this project is to better understand the role of serpentinization in driving hydrothermal systems, in sustaining microbiological communities, and in the sequestration of carbon in ultramafic rocks.
  • British Geological Survey RockDrill2 Test Cruise, NLV Pharos, 17-30 August 2015, Downhole Logging Specialist.
  • IODP Expedition 352, Izu-Bonin-Mariana Forearc, JOIDES Resolution, 30 July 2014 to 29 September 2014:  Logging Staff Scientist.  This project aims to examine early processes in magmatic evolution, chemostratigraphy and arc crustal accretion that are associated with subduction initiation at intra-oceanic convergent plate margins.  Most up-to-date research was presented at EGU 2015.
  • BRITICE-CHRONO:  Research Partner.  This 5-year NERC-funded consortium aims to collect and date material to constrain the timing and rates of change of the marine influenced sectors of the collapsing British-Irish Ice Sheet (BIIS). Sailed as core physical properties specialist on cruise JC126 on RRS James Cook, 3 July to 3 August 2015.
  • Newark Basin Coring Project (TW4):  Project Scientist.  In 2013 a 550 m hole was drilled on the LDEO campus with the bottom 350 m being cored, recovering material from the Palisades Sill, Newark Basin and the underlying metamorphic basement.
  • Lake Windermere Coring Project: Acquisition of multi-sensor core logger (MSCL) data from shallow cores taken from Lake Windermere to help investigate ice sheet behaviour at the Last Glacial Maximum.  Collaboration with BGS and NOC.
  • IODP Expedition 340, Lesser Antilles Volcanoes and Landslides, JOIDES Resolution, March-April 2012:  Logging Staff Scientist with Angela Slagle (LDEO).  Post-cruise research will focus on the FMS images acquired during the expedition. The images will be calibrated using core images and core data and will then be integrated with other data types to provide a documentary of the sedimentary and structural features across the Lesser Antilles Arc.
  • MAREMAP, RRS James Cook, April-May 2011:  MSCL measurements on giant piston cores, vibrocores and rockdrill cores from the Northern Channel and Hebrides.  Collaboration with BGS.
  • ArcticNet, CCGS Amundsen, Sept-Oct  2010:  MSCL measurements on piston cores from the Beaufort Sea, Canada.  Collaboration with Geotek Ltd.
