Space Park Leicester’s ESA Business Incubation Centre UK welcomes first recruits
A team of graduated and current Geography PhD researchers undertaking pioneering research using space data have been named as the first successful applicants to join Space Park Leicester’s European Space Agency (ESA) Business Incubation Centre (BIC) UK programme.
AHRC Midlands4Cities PhD funding for UK/EU/International applicants
The AHRC-funded Midlands4Cities Doctoral Training Partnership (M4C) brings together eight leading universities across the Midlands to support the professional and personal development of the next generation of arts and humanities doctoral researchers. M4C is a collaboration between the University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University, University of Warwick, Coventry University, University of Leicester, De Montfort University, Nottingham Trent University and The University of Nottingham.
Postgraduate Research Day
PGR Administrator Charlotte Langley with PGR Tutors, Stefano de Sabbata and Andrew Miles organised an excellent PGR Research Day on the 8 May.
William Sutton Prize
Congratiulations to Jess Steele who in November was awarded the William Sutton Prize-Highly Commended for Placemaking and Affordable Housing Design from the Academy of Urbanism (AoU).
Undergraduate Careers Day
The School hosted a Careers Day on 27 February 2019 with 16 invited speakers over the 2 disciplines, with simultaneous sessions which were well supported by our undergraduate students.
Summer Graduation 2019
Undergraduate, Masters students and several Postgraduate Researchers across the School were awarded their degrees on Thursday 18 July 2019 at our School graduation reception in the Bennett marquee.
