Monday 30 April 2018 - Acclaimed novelist Kerry Young (honorary Creative Writing Fellow at the University of Leicester) will be giving a Creative Writing masterclass as part of the MA in Creative Writing; but the event will be open to all.

Overview

This class is part of the MA in Creative Writing, but is also open and free to all. Places are limited, so if you would like to attend, please email Dr Jonathan Taylor to reserve your place.

About the speaker

Kerry Young was born in Kingston, Jamaica, to a Chinese father and mother of mixed Chinese-African heritage. She came to England at the age of ten.

She is a reader for The Literary Consultancy, a tutor for the Arvon Foundation and a Fellow on the Royal Literary Fund Fellowship Programme where she is writer-in-residence at The University of Sheffield (2014-2016).

She is also Honorary Assistant Professor in the School of English at The University of Nottingham, and Honorary Creative Writing Fellow at the University of Leicester.
