Four speakers will address different aspects of Charles Dickens’s writing and career, including a public reading from Our Mutual Friend. Free refreshments before and after the talks. The speakers are: Professor Malcolm Andrews (University of Kent); Professor John Drew (University of Buckingham); Professor Toru Sasaki (Kyoto University); Dr Claire Wood (University of Leicester)

You are also welcome to join us beforehand, at 4pm, for the official opening of our exhibition ‘The Victorian Studies Centre at 50’ on the lower ground floor of the David Wilson Library.
