Michael Morpurgo

Michael MorpurgoMulti-award-winning author, Michael Morpurgo, will deliver the University of Leicester’s 2017 Annual Creative Writing Lecture.

One of Britain’s most loved writers, he is best known for his children’s novels, including Toro! Toro! (2001); War Horse (1982), which became an internationally celebrated film and theatre play; plus his latest book, The Fox and the Ghost King (2016), all about Leicester, Richard III and a certain footballing success. He is a former children’s laureate and renowned storyteller.

Event Details

The event will take place on Thursday 4 May at 6.15pm to 7.30pm in the Centre for Medicine, Lecture Theatre 1, 15 Lancaster Road, Leicester, LE1 7HA. This is a free event and is open to all.
