Brief Biography

Vinay is the Experimental Officer for the Mechanics of Materials Laboratory and Advanced Microscopy Center Consultancy Manager in the Department of Engineering. Vinay obtained his bachelor’s degree in Forensic Engineering in 2010 at Sheffield Hallam University. He started working at the Materials Engineering Research Institute in 2007 for 7 years as a Senior Analytical Officer supporting various Advanced Analytical equipment and engaging in various consultancy activities. In 2014 he joined the University of Leicester’s Department of Engineering. Since 2007 Vinay has worked on over 300 consultancy jobs for a wide range of industrial partners, saving or generating millions of pounds for those companies. Vinay is also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a  member of the Institute of Materials Minerals and Mining.
