Luciano Copello Ost was born in Uruguaiana, RS, Brazil. Dr.Ost received his PhD degree in computer science from PUCRS, Brazil in 2010. During his PhD, Dr. Ost worked as invited researcher at the Microelectronic Systems Institute of the Technische Universitaet Darmstadt (from 2007 to 2008) and at the University of York (October 2009). After the completion of his doctorate degree, he worked as a research assistant and then as associate professor at the University of Montpellier II/LIRMM in France, until joining the University of Leicester. His main research directions comprise design and exploration of multiprocessor embedded systems, including proposal and development of run-time management techniques.

  • High-level modelling and simulation of Many-core Embedded Systems
  • Design and Exploration of multi/many -core Embedded Systems
  • Dynamic management techniques for multiprocessor embedded systems
  • 3D NoC-based multiprocessor embedded systems
