Brief Biography

Dr. Zehor Belkhatir received her Engineering and M.Sc. degrees in Automatic Control from Ecole Nationale Polytechnique, Algiers, Algeria, in 2012, and her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 2018. Before her current position, Dr. Belkhatir was a postdoctoral research scholar in the Department of Medical Physics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA.


  • Infinite-dimensional systems (distributed parameter systems and fractional-order systems): Theory and applications
  • Biological network and medical imaging data analysis
  • Modeling, estimation, and control of experimentally constrained systems
  • Applications include, e.g., the characterization of the spatiotemporal hemodynamic response in the brain, tumor growth modeling and cancer therapy scheduling.
