Professor Len Dissado has been awarded the 2018 IEEE Thomas Dakin Distinguished Technical Contributions Award. Len will give a presentation titled: “The Theory of Everything in the Electrical Breakdown of Polymeric Dielectrics – Maybe” during the 2018 IEEE ICD conference in Budapest in July.

Professor Len Dissado

Every two years, the IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society selects an individual for their outstanding, original contributions in advancing the technology of dielectrics and electrical insulation. The award, which was first given in 1978, is named in honour of the late Thomas W Dakin, one of the most distinguished scientists in this field. Congratulations!
