Research conducted by School of Education colleagues is linked to two main research themes:

This includes research on Creativity, Lesson Study, Literacy, Literature, Innovation in Mathematics and Science Education, Mental Health, Poetry Pedagogy, Technology-Enhanced Learning and Writing Development.

This includes research with and about people who are teaching and learning in Initial Teacher Education, Schools and Colleges, Further Education, Higher Education, changing careers or working in educational leadership roles.

School of Education researchers use a variety of methodological frameworks and research methods including Action Research, Case Study, Creative methods, Ethnography, Interview, Lesson Study, Narrative Analysis, Q-Sorts and Systematic Reviews. For information about current individual projects please go to our Research Projects page.
