Physics session

The course will cover the required experiments on density, insulators, forces on springs, trolleys on ramps, ripple tanks, infra-red radiation, specific heat capacity, series and parallel circuits, V-I characteristics & reflection and refraction.

There is a level of choice in the actual experiments that students need to undertake, and we will explore the variations that are possible, so that alternative approaches can be used to take into account the constraints of your school's existing equipment.

We will look at how simple equipment can be made to supplement the schools commercial manufactured apparatus.

The session will also allow you to share your thoughts on the experiments you may have already prepared for the GCSE practicals and to decide how improvements could be made.
