College of Life Sciences Poster Fair

Research should be shared - participate and gain some valuable skills!

About the competition

This is the second year we are running a College of Life Sciences poster fair. This provides you an opportunity to showcase your research to your peers as well as to other members of the College, including undergraduate and masters' students. The goal is to present your research to non-specialists, so it also encourages you to think outside the box and present your research in a different way!

Shortlisted participants will present their poster during the Doctoral College Week, taking place on the 24th February 2020. Winners of the College competition, will then go on to a University-wide competition featuring the best posters across all colleges, taking place on the 3rd April which will be evaluated by external judges (e.g. not University staff).

Why participate?

This is an opportunity to practice your presentation skills, create a poster that can be reused at other events (e.g. conferences, departmental events, etc.), and network with peers, academics, and external judges. Alongside the Doctoral College, shortlisted participants will have the opportunity to attend media training to develop skills for working with non-specialists and talking about your research broadly.

Eligibility

All current doctoral researchers at the University of Leicester, including distance learning and part-time researchers.
