The programme aims to provide inspiring presentations and workshops regarding neuro-development and psychosocial aspects of congenital heart defects in all age groups. Included are two keynote lectures by leading international experts:

  • John E. Deanfield, Barts Heart Centre, London, U.K.
  • William J. Gaynor, Children’s Hospital, Philadelphia, USA

The conference is an important platform for Neonatologists, Paediatricians, Cardiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Intensivists, Neurologists, Psychologists, Nurses and other health care professionals and international patients and parent organizations in the field of congenital heart defects. This multidisciplinary meeting offers ample opportunity for interactive exchange of new insights and share perspective on needs for the future in clinical practice and scientific research.

The programme includes a young investigators competition for the best abstracts. Themes that will be emphasised during this meeting are:

  • Fetal/neonatal counselling
  • Neurodevelopment outcomes after congenital heart surgery
  • Psychosocial functioning among different age groups
  • Quality of life with congenital heart defects
  • Social issues

Conference Fees

  • Full fees £200 (£ Sterling)
  • Junior doctors, nurses £150 (£ Sterling)
  • Patients and parents £125 (£ Sterling)

Coffee/tea breaks, business lunch on Thursday and Friday and dinners/party on Wednesday and Thursday are included in the conference fees. All other meals and accommodation are not included in the price.
