The Forward March of Robots, 11th April, London

Against the backdrop of a spate of new publications that warn of the potentially dire consequences of new technologies for paid work and employment, the New Economics Foundation invited Professor Peter Nolan and Professor Ian Clark to join other leading experts to consider the evidence of the potential challenges and the possibilities for harnessing science and technology for progressive social purposes and alleviating rather than deepening already existing social inequalities.

A follow-up meeting organised by the Centre for Sustainable Work and Employment Futures, with contributions from Paul Mason and other leading contributors to the debate, will be held in Leicester later this year.
